We offer complete diagnostic x-ray services, utilizing modern, portable and fully state approved equipment. All x-ray procedures are performed by qualified and experienced technologists. Radiographs are read promptly, and films with fractures or positive findings are reported to the attending physician and/or nursing facility immediately. Industrial films are read to meet requirements of the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA).
Ultra Sound
The system has complete general imaging capabilities. The different scanheads used with this system allow our technologists to conduct all necessary exams. All exams are performed by registered ultrasonagraphers. Once the exam has been completed, studies are then interpreted by physicians qualified in the various modalities. Reports are delivered to the nursing facility or to the attending physician.
Nuclear Medicine
Nuclear medicine procedures use small amounts of radioactive materials, called radiopharmaceuticals, to create images of anatomy. Radiopharmaceuticals are substances that are attracted to specific organs, bones or tissues. They are introduced into the patient’s body by injection, swallowing or inhalation. As the radiopharmaceutical travels through the body, it produces radioactive emissions. A special type of camera detects these emissions in the organ, bone or tissue being imaged and then records the information on a computer screen or on film.
After the examination, nuclear medicine scans will be reviewed by a radiologist, a physician who specializes in the interpretation of diagnostic medical images. A report of the radiologist’s findings will be provided to the attending physician and/or nursing facility.
Bone Densitometry
Peripheral Radiogrametry assessment of BMD at the Forearm using a weighted average of cortical and bone width measurements at the radius, ulna and 3 metacarpals.Osteoporosis is the demineralization of the bones. It is important to check for osteoporosis as we get older for it can be stabilized with therapy. After 50 years of age, it is recommended to have a Bone Density done every 2 years.
